Prepare to be utterly mesmerized by make-up legend Pat McGrath\’s latest video promoting her upcoming product launch.
In the video, gorgeous model Duckie wears metallic shades from Pat\’s fifth collection, Metalmorphosis 005, which launches a week from today, on November 15.
The collection sees the re-release of Gold 001, the insane pigment that was the first product to come out Pat McGrath Labs, combined with three new colors – silver, bronze and copper.
Like all Pat products, there are no rules with these. They can be used on eyes, lips, cheeks – anywhere. Just watch how Duckie\’s look transforms from scene to scene in the video below.
Whether Duckie is swiping on a copper eye with a killer wing or turning her pout a magnificent gold or silver with a few pats, the artistry behind each look is apparent.
And if you\’re in search of drama with a capital D, look no further than the last few frames in which Duckie slathers Gold 001 down her neck, shoulder and arm.
\’The pigment is mental,\’ Pat told us when she announced the collection. But you don\’t need a degree in advanced editorial cosmetology to make the products work for you.
\’What\’s great about this kit is that no, you don\’t need to be the best, number-one make-up artist in the world to put the silver on the inner corners of your eyes or on your cupid\’s bow or on your lashline or just smear it onto your lids,\’ said Pat. It\’s so easy to do.\’
For more wearable inspiration, look at how celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, 30, and Hailey Baldwin, 19, wore Metalmorphosis recently.
An open-and-shut case: Chrissy Teigen, 30, wowed in the bronze version of Metalmorphosis 005 during a dinner in New York City
Lip service: Pat McGrath gave Hailey Baldwin, 19, a gold smoky eye and matching lip color. Later, Hailey wore just the eye look, showing how you can amp the products up or down
Pat used shades from the collection to give Hailey a smoky metallic eye and matching lip. Using black on Hailey\’s lower waterline helped define the look and make her eyes – and the pigment – pop even more.
Hailey later posted a photo on Instagram of the same eye make-up but with a neutral lip color, showing how the products can be transformed for everyday use.
Chrissy also got McGrathed recently when her make-up artist Mary Phillips used the bronze Metalmorphosis shade to give her what Pat called \’ICONIC illumination\’ in advance of an awards dinner in New York City.
In a video on Pat\’s Instagram about the look, Chrissy thanks both Pat and Mary and says, \’I feel so pretty!\’
Silver foxes! Pat used Metalmorphosis 005 kit to give models like Gigi Hadid (left), Naomi Campbell (center) and Adriana Lima (right) metallic eye corners at the Versace spring show
Cyborg beauty: Pat gave some models silver lips that were out of this world at the Maison Margiela spring 2017 show at Paris Fashion Week
As Pat has done with her previous products, she first teased 005 during Paris Fashion Week.
After Donatella Versace said she wanted a \’sporty, modern, slightly futuristic\’ look for her spring runway show, Pat painted the inner corners of the eyes of models like Gigi Hadid, 21, and Naomi Campbell, 46, with the metallic silver.
And at the Maison Margiela show, Pat used the products to turn the creativity way up – giving models silver lips and glittering eyelids that were Cyborg-inspired.
Mental metallics! Metalmorphosis 005 comes with a cream pigment, powder pigment, dual-ended black eyeliner and a Mehron Mixing Liquid
Why stop at just one? The kit is available in gold, silver, bronze and copper
Each 005 version contains a matching cream and powder pigment that can be used separately or layered together, a mixing liquid and a dual-ended (one side is thick, the other is thin) black eyeliner.
If you can\’t choose just one color, Pat\’s offering an \’Everything Kit\’ for $165 that comes with all four versions. Otherwise, each version will retail for $60. The marker can also be purchased separately for $24.
All items will be available on patmcgrath.com at 12pm ET on Tuesday, November 15 and on sephora.com on Tuesday, November 22.
